THANKS JAYDA. WE MOVE NOW TO EVANS COUNTY - WHERE TWO PEOPLE ARE DEAD AND TWO ARE HURT AFTER A SHOOTING AT A HOTEL. WJCL 22 NEWS' OLIVIA WILE SPOKE TO THE MOTHER OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS. I'M JUST OUTSIDE CLAXTON WHERE FOUR PEOPLE WERE SHOT HERE AT THE RELAX INN. THE EVANS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE GOT THE CALL AT 7 A.M. BOTH THEY AND THE GEORGIA BEAURU OF INVESTIGATIONS HAVE BEEN ON SCENE ALL DAY. I SPOKE WITH THE MOTHER OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS. SHE TELLS ME HER DAUGHTER AND HER FRIEND WERE KILLED AT THE HOTEL. "WE HURTING TODAY AND THIS IS SOMETHING NO PARENT SHOULD GO THROUGH ALL PARENTS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR CHILDREN TO GUN VIOLENCE NOW I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU." Update 6 a.m.: According to the GBI, two of the four victims that were shot and injured were pronounced dead at the hotel. They have been identified as Shalonde A’Jessica Stevens, 27, and Taylor Samone Clark, 26, both of Statesboro. They will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab where autopsies will be performed.
